Ethics
If ideas are generated in the hearts and minds of people, you want to be sure ideas you embrace are ethically grounded. The American Planning Association charges its AICP planners with serving the public good, however broad, on each and every project. This standard of care extends far beyond the requirements of other building professionals. Meg Bower has been AICP-certified since 2007 and LEED certified since 2009. She incorporates sustainability, economy, equity, and efficiency into every idea because she believes the earth should outlast our solutions. She strives with every project to meet the responsibility of building a better future for all who inhabit it.
Inclusiveness
Meg views space problems through a lens that extends beyond the built environment. Her willingness to engage in operational and logistical problems enables her to understand the client's full perspective, which enables her to resolve complex operational challenges as well as space issues. She has collaborated with Federal, state, and municipal governments for over 25 years to consistently deliver improved stakeholder communications, streamlined operational processes, and solutions to system gaps. Her work has taken her to South America and Canada, as well as 21 states. Unlike many building-centered solutions, the plans Meg produces are always client-centered and organically balanced to meet each client's unique needs, both now and into an ever-changing future.
Approach
The backbone to all client interaction and facilitation is grounded in Professional Dialogue TM. Dialogue is a framework for communication which supports healthy interactions (even debates!) between parties with a goal of reducing fragmentation of ideas and cultivating true, respectful understanding and consensus.
